Such a stupid thing I did last night on a thread on meds board. Not looking for sympathy or what not just does any one have any idea why I am so willing to give out personal stuff about me. To strangers hoping to help them. And then I've totally misunderstood them and made a fool of myself. I'm devastated. I really want to do the right things, say the right things, try and get some self-esteem back since can't work and I have foot in mouth disease. To anyone I'm offended I really am sorry. I'm afraid to go out but can't stay here not wanted true but where to go. I go from one thought to another. No meds aren't the answer it's me definitely. Thanks for listening. I just have no one to listen. Tried therapists. Anyway thanks. Love Phillipa

Nothing is wrong Phillipa. I sometimes do and feel the same way. You are just kind and sometimes that backfires. It is not you that is wrong it is the receiver can't handle it, it is really their problem not yours.
Don't let it change you. You are ok.

nothing that i can tell is wrong with you. i think i know which thread you are talking about.
and that's one of the reasons i posted to that person.
you not only are just an honest, open person...you are also considered part of a protected and vulerable population.i'm sorry you feel badly about giving out information now. but don't.
you have nothing to feel bad about. that person was WRONG in asking in the first place.have a better day.

- a question was asked, it's natural to reply
- it feels good to share your experience with others
- it feels good to get attention
- it feels good to participate in a conversation
- you're bored or lonely so you talk to whoever is there
- it's relatively anonymous here, so it feels ok to divulge personal things.You didn't do anything bad. Really.

Thanks Tabitha think I'm embarrassed that I wrote what I did but that was my experience at the time so many of you are young. We just started the sexual revolution. Thankfully it's gotten back to more like the Donna Reed Days. Appreciate the feedback. Love Phillipa

oh goodness I've felt that way about things I did in my youth, it was early 80s but in the Midwest, they were at least 5 years behind the times, so it was more like the 70s :)
Then you talk to people who grew up after "Just Say No" and "safe sex" and MADD became entrenched in the culture, it's a whole different experience. I don't think young people realize how much the spirit of the times influences their choices.
