I'd rather have a root canal but I'm stuck. This mf better be a magician.

Well, as long as you have a positive attitude, how can it fail?
:-)
You're being forced into it? Do you at least have a choice of therapists? There are therapists of every shape and sort out there. CBT therapists, EMDR therapists, RET therapists, you name 'em they've got them. And they come in different flavors too. The firm, uber rational therapists. The soft nurturing therapists. The humorous therapists. The no nonsense therapists. If you don't like the one you're with, there are many more to choose from.
If you've got a choice, be picky. You don't have to settle on the first. If you can, give interviews for the position. If you don't have much of a choice, then I'll cross my fingers for the Fates of Therapy to send a winner your way.
What would your ideal therapist look like?
I like Dr. Kroger of "Monk". My therapist likes Dr. Sidney Freedman from "MASH", and I suppose he is a good choice too.

Good luck Phil. I guess you must've done it before and didn't like it much, huh?
This is the end of the thread.
