I didn't like my T last week b/c he decreased our sessions to 1 every 2 wks. when i went off my meds. (I don't think he realized). I asked him this week if he thought it was a good idea to decrease sessions when somebody goes off meds...he took a second to realize what i was saying...then said "for you, yes" I told him he was arrogant (he is).
I told him i was crying every day (true) and he agreed to see me the next week...he also said that he wanted me to have a new T (b/c we have limited sessions) by our 6th meeting.
He had given me a list of T's in the area previously...but said he didn't know any of them. I asked him why this time, and he said that he knew other ones and said some of them were really good...but they cost 2x as much. But he never told me about them before. Why didn't he ask about my financial situation before he assumed i would want the cheaper ones that he doesn't even know? Why wouldn't he want me to be with the ones he knows are good? Does he not want me to get better?
He then went on to say that he worked 3 jobs in college to pay for therapy b/c he valued it so much...
I don't understand... :/

Dear No_Rose_Garden,
What you have wrote is dreadful, are you sure he is a psychologist,I know some one over here who possesses to be a psycologist but the way that I know her is that to her it another sort of income ,with no compassion for her clients.
Your Psych sounds the same if he has 3 other jobs.
If he feels that you could`nt afford better, that seems to me that he is not that good anyway. If I were you, bearing in mind I don`t know your financial circumstances,I would get a real psyc, and see them once a fortnight, if they are good then it would be better to see a good one every 2 weeks rather than a useless one every week,
or pro rarter to what you are seeing the one at the monment.
I hope this is of some help.
Dave. (((No_ Rose_ Garden)))
