Log # ?
I think I have come some way since when I first started my logs. I am doing better with driving. I don't really get nervous going to the craft store or the library anymore.
Right now I want to lead a full life. I want to be busy, make friends IRL and be more spontaneous and more open when it comes to being social. That is sort of hard for me.
I have some IRL friends but I want more, lol. I want a boyfriend.
A while back I posted about wanting to live in a residence and had a meeting with someone about it. Since then I haven't done anything with that because I thought that maybe I could get better at home. But I met someone in my therapy group who lives in the residence. I think he likes it but I'm not sure. I need to talk to him more. I talk to my mom about it and she says I should try to do some things at home first. I don't know. I don't know why she thinks I need to stay at home to do that. ok I guess thats all for now. thank you for reading!

still rambling...I think that I'm glad that I made progress...but I think I need to work harder...seriously...I slack off too much...I use too many excuses...I pay more attention to my hesitant thoughts and fears than to what I want to achieve. Is there anyone here who has been successful with hard work? I think I need to work hard to get to where I need to be...end ramblings :)

Hi Angela,
It's wonderful to see you making progress. If you're having problems making things happen, I highly recommend the book "Eat That Frog". It helped me overcome a lot of anxiety surrounded with doing things, hard things.it's focused on procrastination, but I think it applies really well to general anxiety about getting things done.
best wishes,
-Ll

Thanks for the encouragement Phillipa! When I say hard work, I guess I mean like...thinking more positively and also behaving differently-like instead of avoid, confront.
This is the end of the thread.
