Not going back to the therapist as she was trying to break up our marriage and doesn't even give enough time on message phone to leave a message and it says if a problem go to the ER or call 911. So does say she really cares about her clients. My opinion is no so not going back and thats a given. And seen others and they are all about the same. Guess they figure I'm too old to want to help and medicaire doesn't pay as much. I've always said you get what you pay for. So from now on I'm getting my theraphy from here. Love Phillipa

((((Phillipa)))) So sorry it is so hard with your T. My old T had a short time period for messages, I would just call back, even madder, and leave another one!
Are you sure you didn't connect with any of the new T's you talked to? I hope you can find someone, Babble is good, but it isn't the same as therapy.

Phillipa, I am so sorry this one turned out to be such a dud. Sometimes it takes perserverance going through a few therapists before you get someone who seems right for you; you know I had a bad experience too and terminated 4 months ago, but have found a new one.
I hope you find a good therapist who is caring and has some compassion; you deserve it! And you are NOT too old! Remember 60 is the new 45! LOL

What happened Phillipa? She probably can't control how long her messages are on the phone - my T can't either, he just gets a certain amount of time per message. You just have to call back and leave more than one message at a time if you need to talk longer, that's what I do (and I actually called back a third time once this week).
But what happened? This seems quite sudden. It's a legal thing to say go to the ER or call 911. Does it say if there's a problem, or if there's a crisis or emergency? They're different. My T will call back and help me with a problem, but his also says if it's an emergency go to the nearest hospital or call this hotline in our town. They can't check their messages constantly if it's an emergency.
What happened?

Oh one example is he is younger than me and I have to pay all my expenses she says go out and find an older man who will support you as I'm of retirement age and she there are many men looking in Charlotte. Then gives us an assignment and says what's he doing with you? I remind she gave us an assignment and she says why didn't you come alone. Who's crazy her or me? Witness my husband who was in the same office at the same time with me and she gave him our assignment also. Phillipa

That doesn't sound like she's trying to break up your marriage. That sounds to me like either a joke (albeit a bad one), or telling you that there might be some things about your husband you can't change and you picked him, so your choices are to accept that and work on things you can change or leave him. Or you could stay stuck in the same spot and not make progress.

Yes it can be hard to find a good T, my first one was awful, second was mixed, 3rd bored me to tears, fourth had scheduling conflicts, but fifth time's a charm. If you want to work on stuff, don't give up on the hunt.
