I read your posts and they slip right past me. I'm having problems concentrating, and I don't want to say the wrong thing. My thinking is not too good right now, and I feel guilty that I cannot analyse or dissect the nuances of the therapeutic relationship.
This is directed towards no one in particular, I just wanted to start a thread to explain why I write trivialities or nothing at all.

Llurpsie, sometimes support can take the place of being beside a person just holding their hand :) and since that is hard via a computer you can just be that support in this troubling and difficult time of your own by just sending it via your spirit. That is enough for all........... (((((((((Llurpsie)))))))))
Because everyone here knows when you can you will do more:)
Sorry you are having such a hard time. Everyone here goes through ebbs and flows.

Did you know there's an accounts book where all the debits and credits of who gives and who takes support are listed? There's a very complex formula, as you can imagine, to figure out the exact value of each post, in terms of debit or credit. We all take turns, too, with it -- it's too much for any one person...
Um...
NOT!
C'mon, Li'l Nurse Poodle, I'm teasing you. You know that no one is keeping track -- except maybe you. You've offered support so generously for so long, even if there really was such an account book, you'd have plenty of reserves in there still.
All of us go through periods when we give more support than we need in return, or when we need more support than we can give. It sounds as though right now you could use a good deal of support from us, because it can't be pleasant feeling the way you've described. I know I can't stand it when I feel as though I'm not understanding something, or when I want to respond and be helpful, but just have nothing in my head to offer. It must be hard on you, too, when you feel as though you're not offering "enough."
Here's a secret: you are enough. If you're here, breathing in and out, that's enough.
I hope you feel better soon.

I understand, and you articulated what's been troubling me about not participating on the psych board very well. It sucks, doesn't it. I'm sorry you're in that place, too.
Hang in there. Roses will be coming back one of these days.
