T has 2 offices about 10 mins apart. I went to office #1, all happy and stuff to have a session, and it being valentine's day and all.
T was not there, T's car was not there, repairmen said T not there.
So in a panic I drive to T's 2nd office. I wait 10 mins in waiting room and finally get up the nerve to ask receptionist- where is T?
T is not at this office today, she responded, curtly.
So I drive back to T's 1st office, now 35 minutes late. I had all this stuff to say and then I didn't have the guts to say it. no T next week. I'll save up all my junk and tell him next next week.
I did manage to tell him that I wasn't feeling nearly as suicidal. I told him about my OD stash and we discussed flushing it. I told him that I felt bad about flushing 900$ worth of drugs. His response was to divert me and ask me 'who makes geodon?' umm. pfizer?
And I didn't give him the madeleines. I was too mad at myself.
T apologized profusely. apparently he was 2 minutes late and had forgotten to leave the inside door open for me
I get home, walk in the door. h immediately jumps on my back "do we still have to pay for your 25 minute session? It was totally his fault, etc etc."
I'm going to muffled's cave now. I think she's going to hold my hand...

Well FWIW I totally understand where you are comming from in all this.
My T is always very on time at her office. One time she thot she might be a minute late, so enroute she phoned my cell from her cell to let me know. Cuz I'da freaked and left if her weren't there.I was already stewing at 5 to when she called. And just like you I would have been upset and rather irrationally blamed myself.(WHO was late?)I already was. But she did arrive at bang on the right time.
I wonder, can you phone T and tell him how this was for you? Its just the sort of thing T's like you to tell them, cuz then they can better know how you react to stuff and give warning, like my T did.
Sigh, it all sucks for sure.

I myself would have the bill prorated for actural time of session and include door was locked as it was. He was at fault. Husbands that's another matter. Phillipa sorry Lurpsie yes go to Muffled's cave.

Well Llurspie, i would have gone home. And told t that I thought I had the wrong day. Or he thought he did and it was his fault I was now so upset and he owed me. I would fall apart too so don't be rough on you be rough on him. He forgot to do stuff
he knew you needed to stay together. So I am with ClearSkies a cyber smack on his noodle. His head, I meant. Anyway, I would not wait, I would bolt.
All in all, I think you handled this like a champ.
Now for your DH, he needs a drop kick to cyber space for that very misguided remark. Would you like to send him to pbabble cyber space so we can handle that one? Oh if only that could work LOL
Today DH stands for d*mn hubby. Right? They just don't know when to keep their mouths from opening do they.Sorry please don't let this de-rail you. You can get past this. And just think how sorry T will be next time. He will be putty in your hands..:)

So sorry that happened llurpsie. I've had that happen a time or 2 and it really really hurts. And then, (in my case) I'm mad at myself for not addressing what I needed to in the short session and I have an even harder time til next session.
I hope things are going better for you today. Send some B-mail or get stuff off your chest here.

thanks joni, I guess adding insult to injury is that I'm having bad side effects from med changes earlier this week. I barfed this morning and can't sleep well for several days now :(
I don't know how to make dark thoughts go away. I guess I just have to bide my time until they go away on their own :(

I think I will tell him when I get back that I'm ready to get started with therapy again.my winter trip + his surgery + his winter break = shallow therapy. I didn't want to get into anything too deep because I didn't want to be left hanging.
I know there's more in there, because I totally dissoc even during my 20? minute session. I could hardly bring myself back to the room either, it was bad.
I want to quit. but I know I can't.

I don't think you are stupid at all, you simply thought you had the wrong office.Your T better not charge you for the 25 minutes especially because the receptionist at the other office can verify you went there looking for him.
