Tonight was rough. Paul is not handling her erotic transference at all. It was scary ... knowing what we know about his feelings. And how on point she was. Pretty frightening!
How dare he turn the tables on her and "suggest" ending therapy. Tonight Paul was not a good therapist. He showed himself to be a little boy dealing with a strong woman.

It's like he was thinking about what Gina said Friday, and trying to jam it into the session today. Maybe because he was mad at her being late? Trying to get back at her?
He was entirely too obvious today, in jumping on everything she said as a sign that she wasn't serious about marrying. Although given the last scene...
I'm not liking Paul very much. His concern about his couch Thursday, and offhand lack of concern about his client, was revolting to me. Compassion fatigue maybe? And his behavior with Gina seemed cruel. He was really trying to hit all her buttons.

I LOVE this show. But it does trigger. I can't seem to cry in my sessions but can cry watching this show. And I do not cry watching tv or movies normally. I do not get HBO so I download the episodes on Itunes and get the entire weeks worth on Sundays. So I have all of week 3. They are amazing! I am hooked. It is too bad that it is only a short series.

Tonight reminded me of a dominant dog I had. He would line himself up on top of my other dog, then carefully sit on him. :)

I still like the show but it's becoming more TV drama than a realistic insight to the therapeutic space. I couldn't stand it and watched ahead this week. Next week with Lauren will be very interesting. Alex is such a strong personality --- blows me over.
I'll be out of town next week and hope that the resort gets HBO (doubtful).

I agree about the drama part. Although my therapist insists it was always more TV drama than realistic.
