Man on man - I read your post on Social, and this is bumming me out.

I hope that you decide instead on a Babble break. Lots of us take them, and I find them to be helpful at times. But the pull of the boards always brings me back.

I haven't even gotten to know you yet; you can't leave :-(

Take care, RK.

I second what Clearskies says.

I do hope you can find a way to find babble helpful, and can stay.

Please come back :-( (nm)

RSK,
you've not been around long, but you've been great- very supportive and warm. I always looked forward to your posts and your responses. Please reconsider joining us if you feel up to it.

Thanksgiving sounds like a merciless psychological torture for you. Your posts on social make me think that you are in pain. You don't deserve the pain though. You are a wonderful person and nobody deserves to be belittled and taken advantage of, even worse by our own parents. Yeah, parents say dumb stuff sometimes, but this sounds like cruelty. ((((((((((rsk))))))))) I wish I could send you some gingerbread cookies and a glass of calorie-free eggnog. I would even put a dallop of calorie-free whipped cream on top. you are THAT special ;)

If you decide NOT to come back, we will miss you, and people will wonder if you're okay. But if you will do better without babble, please make a good choice for yourself.

Babblechat is a good place to hang out too. maybe it's a little goofy at times, but I like to get on there when I'm lonely, or when I'm thinking to hard, or even when I want to vent.

VENTING is OKAY!!!! Babble is a safe place to vent, especially if it's civil!

Babble is a big place, and it's easy to get lost or confused. Just know that you'll always have a place on my threads. Take good care of you.

-Ll
p.s. you can always reregister under another name if you feel it would make you feel safer.
p.p.s. if anything bad happened to you on babble, please tell the deputies and/or Dr. Bob. They care about keeping babble a safe and supportive community for EVERYbody.
p.p.p.s. hugs

I think I am going to do the same thing, at least give myself until January before thinking about posting, and then see where things are for me. I am doing well; I actually had a fantastic Thanksgiving because my husband and I went to a friend's house for dinner with some other 9 people invited, and we all brought a dish. I had never met any of the other people except one couple, and we had a great time.

I am also looking forward to Christmas. I am taking off next week so we can go find a tree to cut down and so I can set up my village and also so I can get my cards out. Last year I had surgery on my basal joint, right hand, and I had a miserable Christmas--no tree, no cards sent out, no village set up. I was in too much pain to care. And besides we did the family Christmas at my husband's mothers place. Now she is gone, and it looks like we will be going out of town to my husband's sister's for the family Christmas. Too much yelling, and we can just walk out the door. Sounds good to me.

Therapy is going well, painful, but going well. T will be off and/or gone from the middle of next week until December 17th, and it isn't bothering me at all. I don't anticipate an emergency, and if one should arise, I have his cell number to be used for emergencies. So, hope everyone tries to have a good holiday; don't knock yourself out. I didn't for Thanksgiving this year and had lots of fun.

rk,
I wish you well. I have learned a lot from your posts and your responses.

RealMe,
Same goes for you. I've only been posting for a month and I only see my T once a month so I don't have a lot to say, but I have learned a lot from you as well.

MY best to both of you. HUGS
