I'm still off on sick leave and WTF

Posted by cactus on November 22, 2007, at 18:05:52

today I have to go into the office to receive my 10 anniversary. The brain, body and hell from going cold turkey off 150mg of zoloft and 62.5mg of seroquel has actually reached it's peak today with the most horrendous brain zaps. I have to go, WTF am I going to do. F*ck I have to shower and go. I can't even get the train I'll have to catch a cab. My god I have to stand up and receive a f*ck*ng award. Seriously could this couldn't have happened at a worse time, one freaked out prickly cactus!!!!!!! I only got out of hospital 6 days ago. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH. My boss who is awesome BTW even rang me last night to make sure I was coming and he knows the FULL STORY. Pressure much

NOT only my boss, but 2 bosses above him came and sat with me and said if you need to go sit on a beach for 2 weeks go do it. My wife and I have been through similar sh*t so I totally understand. The head zaps are nearing the worst I have ever experienced. I don't know how I did it. They served us an amazing french lunch and gave us all an 8.2 megapixal camera, I'm so fricking luck to have management like that. I'd be beyond screwed without them.

Thats so cool to hear! Thx. (nm) » cactus

Cactus, sorry you feel so bad, I have been through that when I went off cymbalta. It was like H*ll. I felt so bad for months. I am going off lexapro now. I had the flush, sweaty thing last night but not as bad as cymbalta. It made me gain weight but I eat less. Go figure. I told the doctor I would be more depress and anxious with extra weight so I am giving up AD's. I will try more supplements for now.

YOu do have great bosses. That is great. I do hope you feel better. rk

I had the same brain zap nightmare coming off of Effexor. What worked like a miracle for me was 15mg Clorazepate/day for a week, then phasing that out over two weeks. I endured weeks of brain zaps and the first dose of the Clorazepate immediately stopped them. You could consider that. The zpas won't stop on their own anytime soon.
