I get SO agitated

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on October 6, 2007, at 9:56:42

Even though there's lots to do, I feel this sense of dread and agitated don't-know-what-to-do-with-myself.

And of course my thoughts turn to the "dark side"

I need to get out of the house, but I don't like parallel parking... what to do?

Maybe I need more yarn... yesssss.... more yarn... then I can start more projects to fill 5 minute slots in my agitated day.

probably

no, I am MUCH worse without meds. Xanax starting to kik in so I'm feeling a little more mellow
> Dunno.
that's okay, me neither. T says I need more structure. formerT says that weekends are HARD for me and I could work on figuring out why... from a psychodynamic perspective, no doubt
> YES!
No! YES! NO! YES!!!

probably. I go to knitting store now. I'll go to the one further away so that I won't have to parallel park. just need to wait a bit until the xanax kick levels off.

Want to do some of my report; that will keep you busy??? Just joking, but my T at Menninger's used to say to me that I needed to "have a schedule." God I hated that; it seemed so simplistic, and yet it works, of course. I just had to make sure I did not get down on myself if I did not do everything on my "schedule" that day. Sh*t, I had to do it on Mondays for Monday through Sunday. If I wasn't doing reports, I would probably be in bed wallowing. So, that is me. But schedules worked for lots of people.

yarntherapy

I have been knitting a lot. Got out of the house to buy more yarn (found an acceptable parking spot)

they were having a sale so I bought some gigantic needles 2 skeins of mohair, and 2 skeins handspun cotton for under 40 bucks. That will give me at least 20 hours of yarntherapy.

yarntherapy sounds great, I have been soooo agitated too that I haven't been able to leave the house for 2 days cuz I'm scared I'll scream at someone for no good reason. I started getting really bad at work during the week then just couldn't go in. I had thu/fri off agoraphobia(or as I say agrophobia), got out sat, did ok, going to a BBQ today thanks to clonazepam and see my pdoc monday. I think I need to take a lesson out of your book and get myself a bloody hobby. There are going to be a couple of people there that I can't stand so I'll just make sure I have enough clonazepam on me so I don't flip out at them. Good luck Ll. C

Lurpsie must be better than picking your cuticles as I do mine. I have to stay activiely busy or I get too anxious. So the bike helps too. Still jogging? Phillipa

would you knit me that warm blanket? i like that weired fuzzy stuff, or microfiber.. or cotton.. i like cotton a lot. i'll even pay for your yarn therapy. i mean it. would you? not joking.

for one, it would be good for you because it helps you and i think it would help more if you knew it had a really good purpose..

two, it would be special to me

three... i want a blanket
