It is part of our tradition, and we haven't been on one in 2 years. My son won the tickets...... so it is planned! Orlando here we come Dec 14-22!
Mom is no fun anymore, have to do something I guess.All the Disney parks and Universal parks too.
Now if i can figure out how to put up with DH 24/7.
Got the tickets and resorts all reserved. whew!

Can you pretend to be one of your son's friends and have fun too. Don't know if that is possible for you, but it is something I would do--try to be the kid having fun rather than the kid I was--miserable and all that.

I think family vacation is definitely "indicated'
You can use it as the bright spot at the end of the tunnel. something hopeful.
as far as strategies for dealing with H- you just send him off to buy icees and 20 minutes later he comes back all flustered and covered in blue raspberry syrup and then you feel a teensy bit better. you taking a couple kids? then you can split up and do some rides with one, other rides with the other. meet up for lunch? etc.
this sounds like a lovely vacation, let's see how your energy levels are in December? Hope that this is powerful motivation to feel better soon.

Okay the image of blue icees just cracked me up! lol
Good idea to split up because my daughter is the most brave of the family to do the scary rides, but not the BIG coasters, so maybe we could hang out while my DH does the teacups with my son or dumbo! lol

Sent a response and deleted it instead. Sorry. Not doing well. Maybe tomorrow night will be better; need to go to bed as it is almost 11 p.m. here, and I have to get up at 4:15 so I can catch the damn train for therapy. Otherwise I get to fight the expressway traffic into Chicago. Not tomorrow. Not up for that.
