Sex , Politics and Religion.

Does anyone have any comment on the assertion that as sexual shame has declined a culture (political, Paris, you name it) of shamelessness has arisen?

If it's not the decline of sexual shame, then what is it?

The ease of the repentance>forgiveness trajectory?

Decline of the class system?

(Soon I'll be wanting to bring back public hangings.
Well, maybe not.)

i do not think this post belongs here in psych. i am sorry but i have issues with religious discussion. i know others do as well. There is a Faith forum at babble, maybe this would be better there? Politics is a hot, provocative topic as well. It is triggering. Issues regarding sexual shame and religion should be posted elsewhere. Then whomever is interested can fill yer boots without triggering the rest of us or inciting a riot. There's enough of those on admin.

Still, I had thought of shame as a psychological issue.

I definitely see psychological issues in shame, and Freud and repression, but also Politics and Philosophy aspects as well.

Unless you prefer Politics, I think I'll redirect you to Social, and answer you there?
