I feel okay yet I still post

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on May 29, 2007, at 19:07:55

Okay,
so I feel okay. not great, not horrible, but some stable place in between.

I was super anxious this am, because I had to visit traumaT this afternoon for consultation.

was it hard. well. yes. I don't usually go into that much detail the first time I meet someone. but it was better than when I was in the hospital and I got round after round of clinical interviews. the same questions. the same tired answers. the same places when I would get all weepy and where they would stop and pause. with sympathy or whatever in their eyes.

but I digress.

is it okay to post here if I feel okay?

just wondering.

Heck, yes, it's OK!!!

I think trying to determine what brings about the better feelings and how to hang onto them is JUST as important and looking at the painful ones. Don't you?

I guess this place is like a good T in that you don't have to go away just because you're feeling better.

Please, keep posting, no matter how you're feeling!!

it's always more than okay to tell us you are doing better ... it's wonderful.

so door #1 sounds promising - that's a solid beginning.

i'll be curious to read about door #2. i hope you share.

so you like messy offices? i would find that distracting and it would increase my anxiety. that's why there is more than one flavor of ice cream. everyone has their likes and dislike columns.

it's more than ok...it's refreshing. (nm) » LlurpsieNoodle

3 sessions down, one to go

perhaps this is a result of having 3 sessions this week.

The overwhelming consensus among the 2 Tcandidates is that my childhood was traumatic. That I have pretty bad PTSD and am good candidate for ongoing psychotherapy.

When I have more time, I'll post about the T behind door #2.

In the meanwhile, I will prepare a short report about door#1T and door#2T for my newT, who is now my oldT. Does that make any sense whatsoever.

Thank you all for your support.

Today is sunny and I go visit my cottage on the pond for the first time. I will take pictures, but sadly cannot post them, as that is not my style at all.

maybe there's something dose-related to therapy afterall. 1<2<3<4 sessions a week.

I'll be better/perfect llurpsie in record time. and broke!

achoooo!

Consensus can be comforting in its own way. Also there can be something cathartic in repeating our story to different people, over and over. Even in getting to the emotional part.

Enjoy the cottage,

LL,

Just paint a pretty word picture of your little cottage. We don't need to know where it is just how cozy!

Our bedroom is under the eaves of the house, and has 3 windows

There is a long sunroom that takes up the entire western exposure, with blinds, screens and windows for all seasons. Couch and rocking chairs included.

The outside has a lovely brick driveway and two rhododendrons by the sunroom entry.

The kitchen is galley style with brand new appliances (full-sized stainless steel fridge) and big oven. Brand new cabinets and porcelain sink with new hardware.

Hardwood floors with rugs in the two main rooms downstairs.

Downstairs is painted white with butter yellow trim and cute details like beadboard and stuff.

Upstairs has a pink room that will be our office, and a lilac room that will be our bedroom, and a nook where I will build my safe spot. A comfy chair by the window and a table for setting down my book and my cup of tea.

Or on bitchy days, my cup of coffee.

Lots of nooks and crannies and quirky cottage details.

LL,

What a lovely picture! If I didn't have to climb stairs I would move right in! I hope you really enjoy living there. How soon do you move?
