OK. I gonna screw up my courage and mebbe find something for T's office.
Then my ikid can see it.
But WHAT?
I kinda feel weird bout it.
Weird, cuz how'm I gonna say what it is? And do I give it to HER? Or just say I want this to stay here? and then she'll say why? and I'll choke?
And WHAT? I don't have fripperies? I have tools and knives... Maybe a picture? I am not artistic, and I don't think that'd appeal to kid anyways...
LOL Mebbe a tank of tadpoles like i got in my kitchen right now!!! Cept they'd die...
Or mebbe a cool bug or something, but then it might freak out a phobic client...
OH! Mebbe my bible!!!??? Then we can touch it and look at it to read from it when I there? Its proly my most treasured item (next to my knife and pack...)
I dunno?????????????????????????????/
Whole thing freaks me entirely, but I think it could be helpful cuz I scared and yet I want to get down to business, if its even possible, I have serious doubts as to whether I will EVER surmount my dsefenses. But I digress. I just wondered if anyone had help for me as to how to get this object into my T's office???? And WHAT it might be????
LOL!!!! I been saving and saving and I gonna buy a 350.00!!!! cappachino coffee maker! mebbe I leave that there and we sip 'chino's at T!!! LOL!
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks to all babblers for all your help lately.
It helps alot.

Muffled-
maybe you could write out what LittleOne said about her dinosaur, (if she doesn't mind)... about how it helped her by being in her T's office- read this to your T, and tell her that you think this might make your kid feel better, and you like the idea of it.Then maybe you could chat together about what it is to be?
Or, just go to a shop with lots of bright, sort of 'playful' things... see what really appeals to your kid- just go by intuition, and you'll know it when you see it, I think!
A little figure of a mermaid? or a unicorn? :-DBil

I do SO much better when i don't got to actually speak, that just might work! Thanks!
> Then maybe you could chat together about what it is to be?**Urgh,,,mebbe not chat bout it. I want to not speak AT ALL! LOL.

**Again VERY GOOD suggestion bil! I think maybe I will give my T littleones dino fax (I hope she don't mind, there will be nothing to connect it with her, I will cut out her name etc. Every other time I have asked a babbler noone has minded, little one is in and out so mebbe I can catch her and ask).
THEN is she seems to respond in a favorable fashion, I will find something....
Thanks bil.
Hows your home studies going?

Hi muffled.
It's okay if you give my dinosaur post to your T.
I think it's important to understand exactly why you want to leave something with her (eg to spy on her, or to feel connected to her when she's not in front of you, or to feel safer, or to help you talk more in session, etc). There could be lots of reasons and it's important to understand which one/s is/are at play here.
I think it's also important to understand exactly which part/s is/are needing the item left there. Don't forget that you may find different parts have different reasons.
Once you know which part needs the item there, then that may make choosing an item a little easier. Just make sure that you let that part pick the item so it is special to that part.

>I'm mainly just trying to find out more about schema therapy that Gazo mentioned in an earlier thread... it sounds interesting, but the books on Amazon are a bit out of my budget at the moment!
I'm on the waiting list now for a means-tested therapist... I was referred back in December- these things take time, I suppose.
You've not go long now to go... Thursday, isn't it? I hope you have a good session- six weeks is a LONG time to go between sessions!

How about some kind of weaving for the wall, like what you suggested I give my T for our anniversary? I'm still working on that idea for Christmas or her birthday, but given what you said at the time, you seem pretty crafty. You could make it with colors that are soothing and feel safe to you.

Ya, thats a good thot, but I scared to be too personal, now isn't THAT a silly thing to say!!!
But I still never say T's name to her. Even when I write it its usu just T. But sometimes I write her whole name.
Hope you jobs going Ok TG.
Take care,
Muffled
