there's lots of different symptoms, but I'm wondering if you're experiencing something and if you are concerned and/or worried.
If so, I hope you'll find a doctor in real life who can help you through this. If you are experiencing some stuff that you don't understand you don't have to go through it alone and there is help. If they can ask you questions they can help you better.

hi dondon. :) I agree with sleepygirl. Thats a difficult question to answer. There is no such thing as a diagnosis of "insanity". There are very serious mental illnesses (schizophrenia, for example) that can certainly cause trouble in a persons daily functioning if not treated, but I still dont think I'd call a person with one of these illnesses "insane". It just feels derogatory to me. Mental illnesses can be treated and the term insanity just makes it sound (to me anyway) like a person is doomed for life. That just isnt true. So I agree with sleepygirl.. are there specific things you are wondering about? Perhaps if you told us a little more about whats going on, someone could suggest something that might help. Good luck to you.

This term and others like "mental breakdown are no longer used. They are considered derogatory.

I guess I'd say that insanity is a sense of unreality. An inability to make sense of things that happen or to reasonably predict things that are clearly imminent.

That's a pretty broad topic. There are neuroses, psychoses, delusional thinking, etc.
Also, "insanity" is an archaic term. Nowadays a host of different words are used to describe different mental health issues. Can you be more descriptive about the type of mental illness you're talking about?

Thats psychosis & insanity does not have a definition in the context of mental illness as the term is not longer used.
