I just wanted to ask how you were, how you're handling things. I've been reading, but I wanted to tell you I've been thinking of you especially. How are you doing without the job? Can you take advantage of the time to do things you might really enjoy? To look at the time as a gift? (I know I'm stretching it!).
I used to always identify myself by my job, until I had children, and then I had no identity (just kidding of course). Now I accept me for just plain old me; my job is just a part, but I understand the pain you've had to go through, how hard you've worked to keep working.
This is a silly post, but I just wanted to send encouragement your way.
best,
antigua

Hi Anitgua,
All of my self esteem is based on career, I know I have other qualities, I just can't seem to recognize them right now.
Your post wasn't silly at all, thank you for sending encouragement.
I am going to try to do some painting (closet doors and trim, I'm not an artist.) Is watching paint dry a form of therapy? First I have to pick out a color, so far not so good on the decision making. I'm talking light brown or beige and I can't choose. My concentration and decision making ability are pretty well gone right now, so this may have to wait, but it is something to do and I know I can do it when I get up the energy.
Thanks for thinking about me. I really appreciate it.

Sorry to butt in, but I wanted to say that I think you should just choose one, paint a little bit of the trim, live it with for a while, and see if you like it. It might help you make the decision and some places will give you a little tiny sample of the paint so you don't have to invest in a whole can you might not use.Good luck Poet. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. But you're doing great. Just take it one day at a time.

I can't make decisions like that either, so I really love the pain samples that come with matching accents. My whole house has been painted that way so I know the colors match. Or at least Martha Stewart thinks so!

did you catch the Freudian slip--"pain" samples instead of paint samples. Yes, I sample the pain and hope the meds work on all shades of my pain...

Hi Sunnydays,
I have a bunch of different paint swatches sitting here, hopefully I can narrow it down to one to at least get a small can and see how it looks. My husband doesn't get that I can't make decisions right now, I'm glad you guys do.

Hi Antigua,
They are pain samples, that wasn't a Freudian slip. Thanks for making me smile.
