TV show Frasier

Posted by becksA on November 30, 2006, at 14:37:07

I was responding to a post above and in it I included a portion of an episode of one of my favorite shows, Frasier. It got me to thinking, do a lot of people on this board enjoy this show because of it's centralized theme of psychology? I find it very therapeutic because of that, and so many other reasons. I don't know.....I would love to take a survey. Maybe I can convince my pdoc that I'm doing a research paper for school and have him simply ask every one of his patients if they like the show or not. Then he could give me the stats. I'd be very curious to know....

actually, i just, this past year, started watching frasier (kind of weird because i also started some constant therapy in this past year as well). i used to dislike the show but now i live it (in fact, it is going to be on @ 730pm tonight, and i will watchi it! i also kind of liked it to begin with because of the hidden love that Niles has for Daphne (and Niles looks a little bit like my therapist, who i had developed feelings for, so i got into the whole..."are they gonna get together in this episode?" tension!), but i do like it in gereal for the psychology too, and of course the funniness!

Hi becksA,

I like Frasier for the same reason I liked The Bob Newhart Show: quirky characters. I love that Niles has to brush off the chair before he sits down. He has to be more neurotic than any of his patients, not that we ever saw them.

haha yeah that's a pretty funny point...never thouht about that. i betcha there's gotta be a correlation between people that see pdocs and love for that show.
