I always have trouble discerning flirting from innocent platonic actions. Sometimes I mistake innocent actions for being flirty and other times I mistake being flirty for being nothing at all, besides friendly. I can't tell the difference a lot of times. I need help here. The situation is specific, but I don't want to post it for all to see. Can someone PM me and give an opinion?

Sorry I can't offer any help DD. I just wanted to offer support. I go through the same thing sometimes, and really back off from people when it happens.

I'm the very last person who could help you with that.
I wish I could help.

I'm told my problem is one-sided - I am blind to flirting. Since I can't imagine why anyone would have any desire to flirt with me I (supposedly) just don't see it. Since my wife is on the jealous side she often labels "flirting" behaviors which, even discounting for a possible blind spot on my part, are ordinary and innocent.
I think it can be tricky to know!
