I started taking notesin therapy today. I just kept remebering the negative stuff. So I didn't look at them all day and came back to them this evening, and what do you know I totally had fogotten a lot of the good work we had done and had only remembered the negative stuff. Anyone else have this selective type memory thing going on??

I don't think I have a problem with the selective memory thing, but I take a notebook to therapy anyway. In my case, I use it to write down when my T starts telling me stuff I have no frame of reference for. That's the stuff I can't keep straight in my head.

I have to write everything out too, after therapy, it helps with perspective, and figuring things out. I'm always amazed how much we cover too. I have more trouble remembering much of anything good or bad when I'm not doing so well -seems too foggy.fw

OK, my notebook is a little different -- note down each time I'm aware of some of the sorts of things we're covering in therapy right now.
And to make some of you smile: my T said, "This is NOT homework, nor an assignment, nor do you have to do it, and you don't ever have to show me, you won't be graded or judged on it." Um, T, are you trying to tell me something?
lol
