I can't stop crying and I feel so alone.

Oh, I know I'm being completely infantile. But someone important said she'd call today and then didn't. And it hurts. Like I've been forgotten.

not infantile to me at all, certainly understandable. I hate being disappointed, such a horrible feeling sometimes, the hoping, and wanting, and then not having....ugghhh

I hate waiting by the phone for a call that doesn't come. I understand why you're upset and don't consider it infantile at all.
I'm sorry.

I'm here too. It is OK to cry and be sad. Sometimes these things happen and they really stink. Are you home alone?

My husband is here, but he's in bed.
I just sent her an email. Asked if everything was ok, told her I had been looking forward to her call and said I hoped she was well.
I hope that wasn't too rude or demanding. But I guess it's too late if it is.
