Pink Floyd-comfortably numb

Posted by muffled on January 12, 2006, at 22:55:15

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Come on now,
I hear your feeling down.
Well I can ease the pain
get you on youyr feet again.
Relax.
I'll need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you tell me where it hurts?

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only comming thru in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what your saying.
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I've got this fever once aagain
I cannot explain you would not understand
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
etc.

Relax, it's just a little pinprick
You will feel no more Aaaarhs
But you may feel a little sick
Hold on, I do believe it's working, good!
That should keep us going for the show
Come on it's time to go.
Declan

it's a great song to dissociate with. when i was in highschool and was being assaulted by this guy, i froze but what i really did was go away with this song in my head. i barely remember what happened.
this song saved me then.

I heard this song last night and then saw your post this morning. When I heard it last night it was perfect for me at that moment and I was so greatful for it. Feeling numb is good right now. Alone, not so good.

Glad to see you here (nm) » survivor1
