Ending Therapy-Book Recommendations?

Posted by Rigby on December 19, 2005, at 15:07:22

Hi All,

Anyone have any reccs for reading up on this topic?

There's two on Amazon that I see--neither has a review:

1. Ending Therapy: The Meaning of Termination and
2. Endings and Beginnings: On Terminating Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.More on it here: http://www.analyticpress.com/books/413-1.html

Thanks!

Rigby

Hi Rigby,
I haven't read or heard of either, but I'm very interested in this one:>
"Endings and Beginnings: On Terminating Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis" .More on it here: http://www.analyticpress.com/books/413-1.html

I just added it to my wish list. I may have to move it near the top. Not sure what I think/feel about that. :(

I think this looks like a great read, I know that day is going to come. As everything has a beginning, it also has an end. I don't see it in my near future but I want to be able to tolerate it when that time comes. Maybe this book would help me. Thanks for sharing it!! I love to read and I'm always looking to further my knowledge about psychotherapy.

I have a few books on the topic, but they're at the back of a closet piled with Christmas presents. Assuming I ever wrap those presents, I'll be able to look.

Thanks-More Books!

Hi GG, LB and Dinah,

Thanks for your responses. I also found two more. None of these has any reviews (darn) but the How Much Is Enough does have quite a bit excerpted from it.

3. How Much Is Enough?
4. Positive Endings in Psychotherapy
