and if so are you aware of it at the time?
I don't think mine does. He wants to set an example for me. But my old T used to mirror my behavior - calm or aggitated, tone of voice, speed of speech, etc, but not how I sat, at least I don't think so.

Hi Fairywings,
She doesn't do it as often as she used to. When I cross my arms tightly across myself she used to do it, too. Now she just says *you don't have to cross yourself.*
I do it anyway, it's protection. She knows that, but obviously wants me to not feel that I have to protect myself.

Nope, he's more likely to complement me. If things are getting tense, he might consciously adopt a relaxed pose. Or if I'm being passive, he might lean forward and try to up the intensity.

I leave the body language thing to the unconscious. I made a conscious decision to do that when I started. The emotion stuff is enough for me to try to deal with.
So, my answer would have to be, I don't know if he mirrors me or not. I have rarely seen him foldhis arms and legs up the way I do, sittting there as I do in as small a package as I can make myself into.
