Ever feel guilty the next day after a session?

Posted by happyflower on December 2, 2005, at 10:03:18

You know I am kinda of feeling guilty or something. He asked me if I was in a bad mood and I was and I wasn't as nice as I usually am. I really challenged him on what he was saying and what he thinks. I made him work really hard yesterday, and I feel a little gulity because it didn't look like he was feeling well. I know I pay for his services, but I feel like I was really hard on him.

Often. :)

I'm not an easy client, and have left numerous "No need to call me. Just wanted to apologize." messages on his machine over the years.

Nahhhh...not too much......I know I am his biggest challenge, LOL...he calls me "obstreperous"---He is absolutely right.........I wrote a poem about his ego, and I though it was a masterpiece of hilarity,

and that he would think so too. Guess what....I was WRONG, he really took it to heart. part of me felt guilty, but the the other part thought.....he deserved it, LOL

The 1st sentence? How many egos....can dance....on the head of a pin.........

He should (as my friends say) be paying ME; I provide SUCH incredible entertainment, and he says he feels "guilty,"

LOL

yes, I absolutely have felt guilty...and I too have ended up calling and leaving a message on the answering machine. I hate sitting with guilt.
Why do you feel so guilty? did you kick him? hit him in the eye with your panties? - don't worry about it, you're just trying to feel better :-)

When he asked if you were in a bad mood, did you say "yes"? I hope so. I'm sure he wants you to be honest about how you are feeling and not put on the happy mask for him.

Today I was in a black mood all day. When my therapist called I told him that and I dumped out a whole list of things I was p*ssed off about. After 15 minutes of this, I stopped and apologized for being b*tchy. He said, "haven't you heard? B*tchy is in this year." And then we talked about making room for pain and bad moods and not being upset with myself for being upset.

I don't think you need to apologize, though I totally understand the urge.

Yeah, next time I hand over the money, I will say that he should be paying me. I know he will ask why, LOL, I will say just working with such an awesome person and being surrounded by aura of greatness, he is lucky to have such an chance! LOL :)

LOL, you are so funny! No, I left my panties on this time! LOL
I just feel a little gulity for not being so nice and kinda a grouch. He really earned his money in that session. LOL But I feel better about it today.

Well when he asked me that question, he answered his own question, but It was very apparent I wasn't feeling good. But yeah, I did tell him I wasn't doing well. He read me well.

I felt a little bad about it, but I feel better today. After all, I am not paying him so I can be a piece of cake afterall! :)
