I chose mine, because I like the name Allison (my real name is Alice; don't care for that), and the second name, is the name of my t
I was going to choose "fairy-child" or "sassy" because those are 2 nicknames, people have given me....but went with the other one.
Smiles, Ally

I was registering, looked down, saw my dog, and entered her name. Sitting nearby was a dog with a male name, a dog with a fluffy-happy name, and a dog with an exotic name. I'm sort of glad that my eyes fell on Dinah.

muffled: 'wrapped up, especially for protection and secrecy'
Good name. I actually got it from a poem I wrote. When I dissociate I feel muffled. Everything is muffled.

Primarily because I'm a filmmaker and "cine" is just a shortened version of that for me.

Daisies are simple, common and strong. They tend to combine well with most other flowers, especially roses, taking care of the background space. And I had a stuffed animal as a child named Daisy who was my favorite.

what perchance would a fluffy-happy name sound like? if you don't mind sharing, that is.

I'm thinking about choosing a new one soon....but the simple truth for me is I just love sleep, and I'm tired a lot, and I'm known for it - the seroquel makes it worse, but I was sleepygirl before that

Interesting!
I chose my name because I LOVE Ladybugs. They are small, harmless, and so cute. They don't hurt anyone. They are a joy to see whenever you get lucky enough to see one. I think they are a cute kind of lady.....bug and they can fly away anytime they like. I'm a lady and ladybugs are one of my favorite things. (That and my computer, but I don't think I think "computer" or anything related to it, would make a very "cute"! LOL)

I chose "Racer" because I like thoroughbred horses. {shrug} Ex-racers are usually cheap, and i like the temperament, and usually get along well with them. When I signed up here, I didn't want anyone to know who I was, so I didn't use the name I was using everywhere else -- and Racer was the only thing that came into my head right then.

It is very interesting to read about people's choice of names.
I was pinkeye before - no particular reason for choosing it, except I like pink and somehow thought of redeye flights at the same time, and just combined the two. But later found out it was also a name for conjunctivitis and started hating my name, but nevertheless stuck with it.
And after I started feeling little better, I started hating my name even more, so wanted something nice and pretty. Ever since I was a kid, I used to have a fancy for Orchids. Saw a movie when I was a kid with a lady and a small kid where there were plenty of Orchids. And recently, whenever I travel through Singapore Airport, I always go through the Orchid garden and I love it. So decided to go with it.

is a beautiful hiking destination in the Swiss mountains, where I went once with my husband and sons. I don't know why I chose it, except that it just flew into my mind at the moment I needed to write something in the space.

Despite my lack of posts on the writing board, I am a poet.
It's what came to me right away when registering. My favorite high school teacher really liked my writing and so I decided to be Poet.

For me it was just the first thing that came to my mind for how I was feeling at the time... well, and a lot of the time.
(Surprised that it was available, since whenever I have to come up with a screenname I end up going through 9000 before I get one!)lgl
