Orchid, how are you doing?

Posted by Jen Star on November 17, 2005, at 17:09:37

hi Orchid,
I just wanted to check and see if things were going ok with you and your dad and everything.

When you get time, please check in and let us know!

I hope all is well. :)

Thanks for asking.

I am doing pretty well. I replied to your post above also couple of days back.

My father has been much better in his behavior ... He has been pretty good with his boundaries. Sometimes he hugs me or comes closer I think out of just habit, but then tries to restrain himself. So far, I haven't had any issues.

I have been enjoying my time off. But it is starting to get boring. I won't be online again for a month perhpas, because I need to travel somewhere. I am getting some treatment for my arthritis.

Btw, the other day, I passed by my first T's office when I had to travel through that road - not intentionally - but becuase I had to. It was a very weird feeling. He doesn't practice there anymore.

Overall I have been doing pretty well. How have you been?

hi Orchid,
I'm glad things are well with you! :) I hope the arthritis treatment is successful. Is it going to be at a spa-place like you were thinking? I hope it's great and relaxing!

Things are good with me. Work is going well, and my husband is doing well too. We're going to see family for Thanksgiving, which is very cool. I'm looking forward to it a lot, even though I hate to travel.

Is there any chance you could make an appt with your old T...or would you even want to?

Write when you get a chance!

Yes it is a spa like place. Maybe not quite like that but I will be getting oil massages daily and the place is supposed to be very beautiful. I am looking forward to it.

I am sorry I didn't follow up on your job front. But a while back you had written about looking for a job and you also had mentioned about doing some art work, and difficulty in finding out people to network etc. I hope it has worked out well.

I miss the holiday season out there. I used to love the snow season and the lightings. I really miss it :-(. It was the best thing I liked there.

I don't think I will write to my old T. I am pretty convinced now that either he completely dislikes me for some reason, or is extremely indifferent to me. And he doesn't want to hear from me also. He used to treat me well a while back and tried to help me out and he was very genuine at that time, but perhaps he has changed a lot now - he had moved to a new city, his family had become very important etc - so perhaps he is not so genuine and simple as before. He had been extremely indifferent even after I told him I was suffering so much. I didn't expect it from him. Writing again will unnecessarily end up humiliating myself and embarrasment and shame. I haven't written to him for 4 - 5 months. And besides he isn't practicing also. I don't know what profession he is in now. I feel sorry sometimes it ended badly this way, but perhaps it wasn't meant to end well.
