I was Klokka previously, then went away for a while, came back, and decided it sounded too harsh. It's the name of a song from a CD I bought while away from home this summer, and just had such a nice tone to it, not to mention, being coffee-addicted, I couldn't resist the "java." (Though it is actually referring to a dance, but shhh.)

I work for a defense contractor, doing database and configuration management. That's about the least complicated explanation I can come up with! :) Really, I sit and stare at a computer all day (which means I don't want to turn on my computer at home, which is why I do PB at work and not at home!). And on the weekends I'm a Starbucks barista. That's the fun job. ;) Unfortunately I have a raging caffeine addiction for some reason... LOL.
What do you do? (besides jogging at the gym watching your T's nice... um... footwork)

Pardon if this a dumb question, but are you talking about (national) defense?

I get a caffeine addiction to just smelling that coffee! LOL It always smells so good, just like Krispie Kremes! LOL

What? I need to have more to my life than that? LOL I haven't seen him for weeks though. :(
I am a SAHM who homeschools my kids. I am taking Master gardening classes and I am playing the trumpet again after a 15 year break. So I play in a jazz band and a classical wind band. Before marriage I worked in the musical instrumet business traveling around to different parts of the country. I loved that job. :)

Yup.
>>> I get a caffeine addiction to just smelling that coffee! LOL It always smells so good, just like Krispie Kremes! LOL
The one food-related job I've had that I *don't* minded smelling like! LOL. Some mornings I function purely on the fumes.

Duh, I should have realized you were a SAHM, you mentioned the homeschooling in a post. I have a LOT of respect for SAHMs... I would *never* have the patience or strength to stay home, even with the one child.
That is so cool about playing in 2 bands. Kudos on picking the trumpet back up! I'm a pianist but haven't played in, um, coincidently about the same amount of time as my son's age. Our piano is in our basement - the only place we could put it, we have a tiny little townhouse - and we rent out the basement, so I just don't have the access, even if I had the time. I think I'll eventually MAKE room for it in the dining room or something, I'm going crazy without my Rachmaninov. I love jazz but just don't have the ear for playing it... too many years of classical have ruined me. :D
I sing too (mezzo), but the only singing I've been doing lately is bedtime singing with a child on my lap. No lullabies for him though, he gets to hear mostly Peter, Paul and Mary and U2.

Hey, go get that piano and we can form a band! LOL I too, have tried to play jazz, but I prefer classical any day. So even though I am in a jazz band, I am focusing on classical.

I think that is so sweet, singing with your child, there is not a more special audienence that that. :) Have a great night!

Just for laughs and this is true. My Ts whole office is covered with pictures, statues, calenders, and other frog stuff. Shocking because she is SOOO proper. One would think her office would be covered with her certificates of her accomplishments. Sure hope she does not read this board. I doubt it but people do surprizing things. Hope most of this is grammatically correct and that my spelling is perfect. Just in case. terrics
