If you can't remember anything? Theres this stuff about family of origin, stuff growing up. But I don't remember much, or anything bad. We been talking a bit about that. It just scares me is all. We started to talk about it awhile back but I kind of was going bonkers so we left off. Now I am ready for anything, but theres nothing. I just can't remember. I have a terrible memory at the best of times. Mebbe I got brain damage at birth or something. So I feel I should know something so I can say ah, THATS why I do what I do. But I don't think thats ever going to happen. Now I'm a little lost as to what to do next. I think I said something weird last week. I'm afraid of next appt. I want to cancel. Would that be just being chicken?

I don't really remember any childhood stuff either. I mean I remember the broad outlines of it but no details.
I guess that's pretty typical when it comes to 'traumatic' (I'm with chica I hate that word) childhoods.
But I am perfectly fine with not remembering. I don't want to remember.
Sometimes my therapist will talk about my childhood. I guess he thinks he knows about it based on how I am now. I just shrug.

I hardly remember anything, and I don't believe that my childhood was that traumatic. Maybe there was something about it, and that's why I can't remember, but I suppose I'll never know.
Maybe some people just aren't good at remembering, and some people block things out. I'm trying to just accept it and work on what I do know, but I know that that's probably not the best scenario.

i don't remember a whole lot from childhood, but i do some. the one that bothers me most is i have NO recollection of 2nd grade at all. when i picture the school i don't even see a 2nd grade classroom, i remember at least one thing pertaining to each grade except 2nd. i don't remember teachers, friends, classroom, or home related stuff at this age. NOTHING. it's weird. and it bothers me.
> Maybe some people just aren't good at remembering, and some people block things out.i agree with cubic me here.
