Sometimes my sarcasm goes too far. I regret that statement.

I do think there is a great need for an information base for finding quality therapists and psychiatrists. The internet has great potential there. I found a great family physician with an alternative approach over the WWW. I think maybe Psychology Today has made a start in that direction, although there should be room for patient feedback.

Babble hasn't traditionally been great for therapist recommendations. First because we're so geographically spread out. And also because... well... some of us are a bit possessive of our therapists.

We know they *have* other clients, but...

I know there's a site out there that attempts to rate them. But there's not a lot of activity on it.

It sounds as if you have some good ideas about where to go for recommendations. I'd suggest getting a few names so that you feel you have more freedom when you interview them.
