Remeron - Side Effects and Sore Throat

Hi Everyone

I am new to anxiety meds so any help is appreciated.

I have taken Effexor 75 for a month and this week I stopped sleeping. The insomnia was terrible.

My doc added remeron 15 and I sleep great but one week in I got a terrible sore throat and low grade fever. My doc did blood counts and all is fine.

My doc doesn't seem to have answers but reading hundreds of posts here makes me believe this boards users have experience so I'll ask you.

How long does it take for the side effects or Remeron to settle down ?

Should I consider tapering off Effexor if Remeron can help me ?
