I'm struggling and don't know what to do with myself. I feel so young and lost...

I'm awake. Are you on the west coast? I am. I may watch the Pope's funeral. We'll see how tired I get.
Did you have a session today?

...but it's midday here.
It's strage being in a different time zone to most people here. I check my emails in the morning and have whole conversations to catch up with. Oh well.
How are you feeling now Daisy? Did you manage to get any sleep?

I'm not sure where you are in terms of location...I'm on the East Cost in the USA. I hope you were able to find some peace last night, and some rest. My thoughts are with you....

Hi Daisy,
Darn it, I took a coveted Ambien or I would have been up. You're pacific time, right? I'm on central which isn't too much ahead, only two hours.
I hope you are feeling better. Let us know.

But that's Ok. I'm used to it. Last night was hard. I didn't know what to do with myself. The power has been out tonight and I realized I'm still afraid of the dark. How sad is that!
Glad I have an aircard so I can at least read and post.

You should be afraid of the dark -it can be pretty creepy.
What do you have planned for the weekend. It's finally starting to act a little like spring where I live so at least i can get out and walk on paved roads or sidewalks. The unpaved roads are just too muddy. Exercise is a real problem for me. I just can't seem to make it part of a regular routine and it's even harder when I'm depressed. And of course not exercising makes me feel guilty.

One reason I got my dogs was that they would encourage me to get out and walk. It is so much easier to walk because *they* need to than because *I* need to. And they have such a good time, that it does make it more fun. If you don't want to get a dog of your own, I bet you have a neighbor who would love to have you walk theirs...

I do have a dog but I'm pretty lazy about walking him. We've always just let him out unleashed but in the last couple of years a neighborhood has grown up around us and not everyone is as enamored of his wonderful qualities as we are. So I actually got out for 2 walks today - one with a friend and the other with my dog. There's nothing quite like unexpectedly nice spring days during April when you know it could just as easily snow next week.

Ugh. I know what you mean. My therapist was frankly nagging me for a promise to exercise recently and I flat out refused to give him one. I hate to give promises that I know in advance I'll probably break. :(
Maybe *eventually* regular exercise gives you more energy. But I don't have the luxury of *eventually* right now, and right away it doesn't help at all - energy-wise.
This is the end of the thread.
