disability?

I took a leave of ab?ense from work and I'm thinking of asking the doctor to sign off for me to get disability. Anyone have any experiences to share? How do you go about asking for this?

I do not have direct experience with this, but I do know that many mental illnesses are covered by the ADA. Your doc may not be familiar with this, but do mention the ADA, and if he is initially not responsive, do a little research and ask again. If you have a pdoc or a T, they may also be able to help you.
