I dont know what I hope to accomplish. But it is probably necessary. I need to learn to like myself. Accept myself. BE myself.
I wish I could be anybody but me right now.

Sabrina,
I wish you all the best with the therapy. My wish for you is that through therapy you will see what a truly wonderful person you are, and how you touch people's lives in such a positive way.

(P.S., I am truly sorry if that inspirational thing I shared with you a while ago upset you. it was not my intention.)

It'll pass. You'll probably learn to like being you. :-)

Hi Sabrina,
It sounds like you've fallen into a pretty deep hole. Knowing you, you'd probably climb out eventually on your own. Your new T, hopefully, will help by throwing you a little light, some water and a line to assist your climb. But you have to do the work, dear. Sounds like you are part way up already. We will yell down lots of encouragement.Toph

I think that's great Sabrina.
Therapy can be great for helping you learn to deal with emotions that seem overwhelming. And hopefully you'll also learn where you got the idea that you weren't entirely loveable, and learn to reject that message and replace it with one that is closer to the truth.
Good luck. I wish you good therapy.

Good for you! Therapy is a lot of work but I know we are better people for it. Hang in there and keep posting as we are all in this together :).

Sabrina, when I went back to therapy after a 30 year hiatus, I had hope. I figured that I was taking a positive step toward making my life better. I still feel that way.
And honestly, my life is better now. It's not perfect, I am not in residence full time on cloud nine, but I am so much happier than I was. Right at the moment I am feeling blue, but hope remains.
I wish you the best. I hope therapy helps.
Sometimes I wonder why it is we don't give ourselves the kindness we'd give a dog on the street. Maybe that doesn't apply to you, but it seems to apply to so many.
