Oh it just feels so empty sometimes, but then I remember that I'm free of transference now. It's okay.

I miss mine too. She is on vacation. I leave tomorrow for my vacation as well. It's not rational, I know. Susan, I'm sorry you had to go "cold turkey" so to speak. That must be very difficult.

Susan - I'm off to my in-laws for the week ... am I crazy or what? I don't know if I'll have access to a computer or not, so not only will I miss my therapy, but my babble friends. Talk to you later - Annie

Oh, Annie, have a decent time. You are brave. They must like you, though, I mean, a whole week! If it ever gets difficult, think of yourself as being the main character in a movie, this scene is part of the plot, what happens next? Sometimes that can help defuse the situation, OR pick up the phone and call the Chief Executive Officer. *********** those stars are for a good time. (Annierose)

hi susan - so far so good. my in-laws have planned a lot of neat stuff for my children, so i am thrilled. my husband arrives late monday. but i like your idea of pretending to be part of a movie plot ... i like to do that sometimes when i'm in a difficult situation ... go outside myself. to get back to this original thread ... i found a book that is helping me not miss my T so much, "Lying on the Couch" by Irvin Yalom. It's fiction. But it's about this T and his clients ... a mystery of sorts ... but I find it funny and insightful too. thanks for your reply.

I looked at the book and I'll have to try and get it from my library, it sounds really cute. I love the goggle spectacles, and the the unblinking look!!

Forgot to say, I'm glad your in-laws love your children and give them grandparenting attention, it sounds great. :)

I'm feeling really relaxed. Unlike my husband,
my in-laws just jump in and help me with my kids. I've had so much time to myself, it's lovely .... a true vacation. We're in the mountains, so the sky is grand and goreous (I'm forgetting about the winter weather warnings). Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving.
