Lexapro, Why Bother?!

Posted by spaceghost on January 29, 2004, at 9:13:31

For those interested... my experience with Lexapro has been very dissapointing. I've had a history of depression and only recently have begun med.'s as a possible help for any imbalance in my brain. I began taking wellbutrin, which I loved, but severe itching and loud ringing in my ears led me to have to stop.
Then I began taking Lexapro 3 and 1/2 weeks now and can honestly say that it has made me feel worse than ever. I am tired all the time, I have terrible nightmares now waking me all night, I have dry mouth, and what's worse I don't even want my husband to touch me at all...and as well, I feel more anxious and irritable than ever! So, for those of you wondering...or suffering the same fate on this med... get off it! I know I stopped taking it as of today...and look forward to anything other than this feeling I've been having since on it.
the best to all of you...

Sorry if it's confusing, but there are a number of boards here, and (just plain) Psycho-Babble is the one for medication-related issues. Here's a link:
