Karen, How were your classes?

Posted by DaisyM on January 12, 2004, at 23:49:13

Just checking in. I was thinking about all of you back to school today. I took my son back today too...:(

I, on the other hand, took the day off!

German, Yech! And second semester too! To make matters worse, 30% of my grade depends on attendence. Uh oh! No more skipping class to hang out with you guys, SORRY :) No, seriously! I only had 2 classes yesterday, German 102 and English (I almost spelled it wrong :) 334, writing in the work place, which involves writing memos, ect. That should be a breeze, as the company I used to work for I devoted much of my time writing memos, business letters, ect to send to school principals and administartors. I'm not worried about either class, as the German class has the book online. I just need to be sure to go there instead of here :)

How are you doing, hun? How was your day off? Did you go shopping? Did you buy me anything? :) Your birthday's coming up.....I'd like to get you something, but it seems I've spent all my money on myself :( I'm selfish that way :)

Do you have a therapy session coming up? Take it easy and slow. I hope your birthday is the best! If I were there, I'd make sure you had a wonderful one! So, just pretend I am and the rest will fall into place!
Also, I bought a cashmere sweater! It's so nice and soft. If you need a shoulder, mine's soft! Lay your head down right here hun!

Thanks for thinking of me! I'm getting to wrapped up in all the crap going on in Admin. I should just stay away from it! Thanks Daisy for being so sweet!

German, huh? Don't have much call for that in California. Sounds like a really full schedule.

What color cashmere? I luv soft and fuzzy.

I worked on my day off, at home, after I got back from dropping off my son. I was on a roll...worked right up to 1am! I feel semi-caught up and organized, which is nice. And, I'm not the least bit tired today, which is weird.

Therapy yesterday (see above post) was interesting and productive. We had a great debate about Freud and free-association. And about "rules" for therapy. The hardest question he asked me was why I stopped sharing the memories that were popping up; didn't I think it was harder to go back to carrying them alone? I told him it was just too painful to say some stuff out loud...which is how we got on the subject of therapy being painful.

All I want for my birthday is ongoing support from you and the other babblers here...which I feel I have. :)

I'm hoping to move to Cali in about 5 years, once I have some $$$ saved. I have to take a language and Latin was full, so I just picked German since I had some in 4th grade. Bad Choice! It's like a foreign language or something! Ha ha! But, I got a B last semester, so I'll be ok. My book is online, so I have to be sure to go there instead of here...Houston, we have a problem :)

My cashemer is a cardigan, in a soft grey. It looks kind of motherly, almost like something a therapist would wear :( I didn't notice it until I got home.... Oh, well....It is cashmere, you know.. Funny, my therapist had to reschedule for a morning apt. next week adn he said, "You know, you don't have to dress up for me." But when I do, I know he appreciates it. A catch 22. My whole life is a catch 22, I suppose. Guess I'll be getting up at 6 am next week. I won't like it, but that's life...

Working on your day off? HELLO??? What's the point in taking the day off if you work? Is it just me who feels this way?

I'm glad your session was productive. Mine was too. We debated as well. Only we debated about how personal feelings get in the way of therapy.... Hmmmm.. seems I'm not the only one who debates their therapist to waste time....

And of coursse you ALWAYS have my support. Unless you call me fat. Then you have just a bit less support from me :) I may have to make a trip to Cali and see what the weather's like :)

Don't come today. It is cold (48), wet and raining. The fog is sitting out on the Bay. Yuck.

Haven't I told you I always work on my vacations? I have 12 weeks of vacation saved from a company I started only 5 years ago. Such is the nature of nonprofit.
