Ok, so I asked my therapist today if it is possible to be inappropriale. He said, "Well, it would be inappropriate if you sat on my lap and tried to rub my hair." He's so funny, isn't he? :) Anyway, he said that if I were to say something that made him uncomfortable he would just say, "That makes me uncomfortable. Let's talk about something else." So, I don't know if that's reassuring or not. But I know it takes a lot to make him uncomfortable. Also, I do know that I can't sit on his lap and rub his hair. Darn it!

Your therapist sounds so much like mine. It feels like I could say anything, even something awful and he wouldn't get upset about it or be uncomfortable. He is really good at distancing himself from his patients...or at least from me.

So, does that mean that you too flirt with your therapist? Because that is the message that I got. You just have to love having a therapist who allows you to say whatever you want and also is on the same level as you. I really like that we "speak the same language." It helps put my mind at ease a bit. Soemtimes though, I wish there wasn't so much distance :( We were talking again about me leaving my boyfriend and I asked if I could move in with him. Again he said no. Darn it, I'm trying. :)
