vagus nerve stimulation

I saw that there had been new results published last month for the the vagus nerve stimulator implant on a web site:

It has shown good results for treatment resistant bipolar, with few side effects. They are going do a trial to see if it helps with headaches and anxiety, too. Has anyone tried this? And how do you get to participate in these trials?

You can try contacting Dr. A. John Rush, vice chairman for research in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
