I saw Dateline last night and there was a man that had been hypnotized in order to lose weight. Has anyone ever done this before and had success? Everytime he sees the color red, he doesn't want to eat. He lost like 25 lbs the first month, and by the end of the second month he had lost a total of like 34 lbs I think. He also listens to cd's twice a day. Anybody done anything like this by a professional and it worked? I've tried about everything else. I'm willing to try this.... help!

Joanie,
I was hypnotized for smoking (to stop) and for weight loss. It was not successful. However, the reason why (I think) is because ot was a mass group of people doing it all at the same time. If you find a psychologist who is trained hypnotize, and have sessions individually, you may have a lot of success. I never doubted the meathod. It was just too distracting with so many people to actually be able to relax enough to get the most out of it.
