I just learned about Rocky Anderson and The Justice Party, and I'm quite impressed with the common sense platform. I even did something I've never done before - I donated to the campaign. And I'll even display the bumper sticker when it arrives, also something I've never done before. The stranglehold of the status quo must be stopped.

Someone talking about Ron Paul's positions remarked that even a stopped watch was correct twice a day.
I will check out those links.
I have been reading Joe Bageant with great interest and a lot of enjoyment.

Are there reasons why the Justice Party platform appeals to you more than the Green Party? At first look, they seem similar to me. Granted, the Green Party does not seem to make a major run for presidency, being more concerned with local elections.

I didn't say that it did. But I'll check out the GP platform. Cheers!

>Yes, that was poorly worded on my part. I hadn't heard of the Justice Party. I registered Green this year and don't know why I did not do so sooner. It's not that I made a difference hanging on to my democratic identity all these years. I suppose as long as I pay my taxes and refrain from acts of Eco-terrorism such as smuggling beagles out of university labs I am just another drone to all concerned.

Hey Ron, I heard Rocky Anderson on Truthdig Radio and really liked him. I might send a contribution, too. If you haven't heard the program, here's a link if you'd like to listen. It's pretty basic, I guess, but I like to hear people's voices. It's about 30 minutes into the program:
This week on Truthdig Radio in association with KPFK: Consumer Reports senior scientist Dr. Michael Hanson tells us the United States lags far behind Europe and Asia in its regulation of the meat industry; Tupac and the L.A. riots at 20; Rocky Andersons alternative campaign for president; and Greenpeace protests Apples dirty cloud.
This is the end of the thread.
