of overturning tried and true laws.
I am very passionate about this. I've spent many nights in our National Parks and I definitely do not believe that I should have been allowed to sleep with a loaded shotgun by my side.
We have a law in Texas now where you can shoot someone if you feel threatened. Yes, read it again....if you feel threatened (say, in Walmart's parking lot or down by the creek) you are free to kill the "threatener" and your defense is your "feeling" that there was a possibility that you were going to be harmed.(no force or attempted force has to be used....it is just that "feeling" that counts in Texas)
This is a loose translation but that is about the only way that I can interpret it. A man recently killed a man who was standing at the corner of his yard..a man who had just walked by told police that the man was fearful of a heatstroke and was resting in the shade from a tree inside the yard. The trial was over recently and the shooter was freed...
I'm p***ed, if you can't tell. Next thing that the NRA could try to do is give all of us a gun when we get our drivers license!
This is the end of the thread.
