I'd like to be able to say that our little town completely refused to celebrate this government sponsored occasion due to remorse about the leadership of the bulk of the anglosphere, but this is only true in part. Pilates was open and not celebrating, but Woolworths had people with flags printed on their faces. They made a mistake for the Big Day Out by banning them....it made them compulsory.
I fear the flags are coming. Just a matter of time. Identity politics sucks.
