civil government / country ?

Posted by sdb on December 27, 2006, at 15:41:42

Saddam Hussein's execution means a milestone for Iraq. Is that civil? Is that a civil government?

Do you understand something? Have you ever understand something of Arabic history?

i am so sorry that i cannot remember the name of the best book ever, about the Middle East. and if i do find the book or remember it, i'll sure post it here. it taught me more (big thick book) than i could have ever learned from the "news"........

all i know, from someone who has lived in a lot of Muslims countries is this: my SO says that 20 minutes after the last US plane leaves the Middle East, it is back to business as usual.

i'm so confused about what is civil here at Babble, right now, that i don't dare try to figure out this mess going on in Iraq. i know that Saddam was a sadist and tortured and killed a lot of Iraqis in his heyday.........

pat p.s. i looked at the link but didn't understand much there.

It is a simple answer: No.

that the no refers to this question:
Do you understand something? Have you ever understand something of Arabic history?

They were so ungrateful and we needed to learn nothing.

Important that he *not* be tried for the significant things, which of course I don't clearly know, but which amount to complicity in larger enterprises with such as the USA for the Iran/Iraq war, and the aftermath of the first Gulf War which is when Halabja was? (The broken promise).

How many died in the Iran/Iraq war?

> They were so ungrateful

Please be sensitive to the feelings of others (such as Arabs).

But please don't take this personally, this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're a bad person.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please first see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#enforce

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob

PS: According to the current system:

previous block: 1 week
period of time since previous block: 9 weeks
uncivil toward a particular individual or group: yes
particularly uncivil: no
different type of incivility: no
clearly didn't understand PBC and made effort to reply: no
provoked: no
uncivil in multiple posts at same time: no
already archived: no

If we take 9 weeks, divide by 10, and round, that's a reduction of 1 week. If we apply that to your previous block, that takes you back to 0. And if we go from there, that's 1 week.

Hello

Please don't watch the videos above if you're a too sensitive person. I don't have a TV anymore (perversely it is said that there is a full version on the net). It was not so easy for me to watch that. This even if death people means something familiar for me. Doing harm to every human being is false IMO. No matter how brutal, how good or how normal a human being was, it is false. Nevertheless or unfortunately doing harm to each other is a common behavior of the human being at every corner on that world.
