Those on the economic right are mere pygmies in comparison.

His contribution to our understanding of the contemporary world was substantial. The degree of hostility he aroused was eloquent testimony to the uncomfortable nature of the truths he told, and kept on telling, about the workings of advanced industrial economies.>>
from the Guardian's obit on Galbraith.
truth, that scandalous word.
i suppose i have a fetish (no other word for it, it is so perverse a thing) for truth because i'm in a permanent state of discomfort due to various illnesses.
that makes me so d*mned peevish too.
and then, people seem not to like it when you tell them you're lying. I don't understand, and never will.

We are supposed to say how we think things could be done better,or something like that (I think that's it). But if we knew stuff like that we'd stand for public office and know how to get elected. There's heaps of interesting stuff to talk about (dunno anything about Galbraith).
I see in the Guardian today that Bolivia has sent in the army to seize and nationalise the oil and gas fields. After their experience with Bechtel owning the water falling from the skies maybe they want some more of their stuff back. I want to visit before something happens to the government.

this pleasant chitchat is something I'll get the hang of soon.
And then I'll run for office.
But this is my official welcome back to you both.
And you can what good spirits I am in by the post below on spectres. In retrospect, it should have been posted in psychology. Or 'parapsychology.'
Happy holiday.
