Anyway, the Democrats (finally) have pressed for a special counsel to investigate the Bush Administration and its secretive NSA. Here is the response they got:

Both declined.Justice's inspector general Glenn Fine said he lacked authority, and deferred to the department's Office of Professional Responsibility.
