I am:
concerned with walking lightly on the planet.
My views are often between liberal and radical to the left.
I want peace but not by any means possible.
I enjoy power- with- people not over people.
I struggle with inner peace.
The Greens come the closest to my thinking, I love the Ten Key Values.
I am totally invested and linked to my political values.what I don't intend to do:
1. I don't want to hurt anyone else because of my political values
(it's hard when my feelings are so strong)
2. speak harshly to any babbler
3. alienate others because I have been swept up in my emotions and have lost sight of my goal (our shared goal-communication)So now you know where I stand

We have one.
A current issue in NZ politics (though my understanding is that in general the US is a bit more conservative) is whether cannibus should be decriminalised.
NOTE: Decriminalisation is different from legalisation. The notion behind decriminalisation is simply that smoking pot is not a serious enough offence for you to get a criminal record for 7 years if you get busted with it.
If I got busted I think my criminal record would prevent my moving to the US.
It would also prevent my applying for many jobs (the ones who rule out people because of a criminal record).
But smoking a bit of pot is very different from fraud or burglary or assault or murder or rape in my opinion. Nobody should be sent to jail on account of dope.
We have motto's associated with regions. A proposal for ours was '_____ the grass is greener'. It is true, as after they drained the swamp the city is built on (into a stunningly stagnant lake) there remains lots of lush grazing land. but then that is not the way in which some people read the statement. They realised just in time and so that never became our motto.
But I don't think this is what you mean by the green party is it Jai? Is it more to do with environmental issues? Our greens are known mainly for being into those - but then they also take a decriminalisation stance towards dope.. Do your greens?
