Hi,
I've been on buspirone for many years. This drug has taken good care of my anxiety.
One week ago I began with Wellbutrin XL (150 mg).Now I have concluded that buspirone is not potent enough in combination with Wellbutrin.
I became more anxious. I couldnt smile at the girl at the checkout counter last Friday. So Im on low dose of Fluanxol (flupenthixol) from Saturday morning.
I have been less anxious since, so this drug works better than buspirone in combo with Wellbutrin.Could it be advantageous to keep buspirone in the new combination of drugs?
Im on Wellbutrin, Remeron (30 mg) and Fluanxol (0,5) mg.
Best regards,
X-ray

I wouldn't bother with it. You'll be reaping side effects more than any reward.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply!
Now that my body has become used to Wellbutrin, I don't feel so anxious anymore.
So I've quit Fluanxol.
I feel fine on Wellbutrin, Remeron and buspirone, but I have added 20 mg of Lyrica for sleep.
Best regards,
X-ray

Does Wellbutrin completely get rid of Remeron sedation? And, does the wellbutrin cause you anxiety that you then counter with buspirone? Do you find that the Remeron helps counter the depression, or is it used primarily as a sleep agent? Do you find your combo to be at all pro-social?
Thanks in advance for the answers. I'm thinking of trying the same combo for myself.
