And the way to diagnose them sucks more. Way way more. Those who told me to prepare for pain weren't kidding. Yowsa! Owie.
I'm not looking forward to hearing the options for removing them. Dang it that they didn't go in with a scope from the get-go and just yank them out at the time. My poor cervix doesn't want to be attacked with whatever that was again. And being put under general anesthesia has its own risks given I take Nardil.
But if it will get rid of the horribly heavy bleeding I'm not having each month...well...maybe I can take something stronger than ibuprofen?

YESDon't make the same mistake I made with my vasectomy.
Trust no one.

GG just saw this haven't been online here much I feel for you. Fellow female to another. And another ouch to you? Will they remove them? If not large don't they let them just be not something know much about. I'm sorry. Poking and proding isn't fun and understand fear of anesthesia. Love Phillipa

Thanks P. I'm still waiting to hear, but I think they will take them out since they are likely the cause of the very heavy bleeding I have been getting the last several months.

I wouldn't trust the doctor.
When I turned up for my vasectomy he said 'I'll give you some leather to bite on', which was nice of him in a counter-intuitive way.
When they cut whatever it was I got a really creepy pain going up to my shoulder which seemed to beyond the local anaesthetic, the thought of which I found agitating, at which point I asked myself
'How is it that I did not find and take a relaxing dose of a narcotic before this procedure?'When I came home my wife said
'You look like you've been mutilated.'It need not be so bad of course, but doctors, quite understandably, do not see that they are there to entertain their patients, and therefore a suitable measure of discomfort is to be expected.

Looks like it's surgery for me. Good thing I see my pdoc tomorrow, so we can talk about Nardil and anesthesia. And then I meet with my OB/GYN next week to talk about the surgery.
Bleah.
Sick humor alert: since I likely will not have children (long story), and these polyps will come out of my uterus, maybe I can keep them on the mantle and name them. Meet the twins, Paul and Polly Polyp. Ya gotta laugh, eh?

gg I'm sorry that's horrible for you. Yes a sense of humor helps but still there is emotional pain. I really do feel it. Love Phillipa

Phillipa,
It's not so much that it's private, it's just that it has nothing to do with the polyps and surgery. It's a relationship and age thing.gg
