I had that tummytuck and liposuction done and very hard to recuperate after about three and a half months ago and went to endos today for thyroid testing and on my own stood on the scale fully clothed sneakers and all and am down to 131 from 152 before surgery. Diet hasn't changed but the surgery threw my hasimotos thyroiditis out of whack . TSH went up to l5 now eight weeks ago was down below l and it was okay but free T4 was low could this be the reason for the weight loss and tiredness? Backaches. Also went from 20mg of valium to 15mg but only a few days ago? Anyone with any suggestions? My gut says that less body weight would require less synthroid but I am not trained in endocrinology. Thanks for any help. Phillipa

How tall are you? It seems like 150's isn't that high and would not require surgery....be careful!
at any rate, it seems like the thyroid stuff is likely contributing...as well as the surgery stuff..but don't quote me on that.

I was 128 at 5'4" for all my life till menopause and starting packing on the pounds now it's normal for me just think I need less synthroid. And the fat was belly fat diabetes in my family now no fat cells on the belly should reduce that risk. Phillipa

I still think the contributing factors (and maybe more???) are what I said at first....but because I didn't really know...I guess I just assumed that the surgeries were for aesthetic reasons...I guess I didn't really say that, but I'm sorry and I'm glad that you are doing things that can keep you healthy!!
